TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) — 13 NEWS is teaming up again with Dillons to help hurricane victims.
Our original partnership with the grocery chain and other television stations in Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska, raised nearly a quarter-million dollars ($247K) for Hurricane Harvey relief.
Now, in the wake of the devastation caused in Florida, Dillons is again inviting all customers to round-up their grocery bills in the Hurricane Irma benefit drive. You can also donate a set dollar amount, instead of rounding up, and all of those funds will go to help flood victims.
To help in the kickoff efforts, the 13 NEWS team will be live Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Topeka Dillons' store at 29th and Urish. So, come out and meet the team and round up your grocery bill to help folks affected by Irma and the flood surge in Florida.
