FRANKFORT, Kan. (WIBW) -- The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado passed through Marshall County Wednesday.
The tornado started at 5:47 p.m. and lasted nine minutes, travelling nearly 8 miles. It starting five miles east of Blue Rapids and ended one mile northeast of Frankfort.
The winds peaked at 85 mph and caused enough damage to warrant an EF-0 rating.
Frankfort residents told 13 NEWS that the winds blew over the local batting cages and knocked a large tree on someone's lawn.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Office told 13 NEWS that no injuries were reported.
