LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) — A teen motorcycle rider was killed when his bike collided with another car Monday night in Lawrence. His passenger and the other driver were injured in the crash as well.

According to the Lawrence Police Dept., Seth Quick, 19, was heading south on McDonald Drive shortly after 9:00 p.m. when his 2001 Kawasaki motorcycle struck a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer at the Rockledge Road intersection.

Quick died in the crash, authorities said, and an unidentified juvenile who was on the bike was flown to a Kansas City-area hospital with serious injuries. The 19-year-old woman behind the wheel of the Mitsubishi was also hurt in the wreck and was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police noted Quick's passenger was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, while Quick was not.

The Lawrence Police Dept. says their investigation into the incident is still ongoing and they would not be releasing any more information at this time.
