PRATT, Kan. (KWCH) -- Via Christi Hospital officials confirmed to KWCH that the mother of the four children who died in a Thursday morning house fire in southwest Kansas has died.

Charee Wheatley passed away Saturday afternoon. She was taken off life support after suffering from severe carbon monoxide poisoning.

The Pratt Tribune identified the children as Harley, River, Timmy and Reece Wheatley, ranging in age from four months to four years old.

They were trapped in the basement with their mother, Charee, when the fire broke out.

They lived in the home, located near 2nd and Austin, with Charee's two sisters and her nephew. Those three escaped the fire unharmed.

Fire investigators are still working to determine a cause.
