MISSING: Overland Park girl with autism may be in northeast Kansas

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (WIBW) — The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is asking northeast Kansans to keep an eye out for a missing Overland Park girl who disappeared nearly a month ago.

KCTV5 reports Kate Thompson was last seen on June 9 in the 7800 block of Marty Street, in Overland Park.

The 15 year-old has high-functioning autism and has not taken her medication in over a month.

Kate stands 5'2" tall and weighs 130 lbs. She has brown hair, blue eyes, and her ears are pierced/

She lives in South Carolina, but was staying in Overland Park with her sister for the summer, KCTV5 reports. The NCMEC says she may be in the area or may have gone to Arkansas.
