MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- After recently changing its name in August, The Hut will be closing its doors on Saturday.
The Manhattan staple, known for Creole style food and live music, has a history of ownership and location changes.
"We have a great core of customers, but the volume just hasn't been what it should be," Bud Cox, Partner of The Hut, said. "It's a tough decision, but we think it's the right decision."
Cox adds that fan favorite food items from The Hut will still be available in town.
"We have two other restaurants, Coco Bolo's and Cox Brothers BBQ, we're going to transfer some of the food here to our other restaurants," Cox said. "Our customers shouldn't be too upset, they're going to still be able to get gumbo, red beans and rice hopefully with this move."
