Manhattan man arrested after 20 vehicles had their tires slashed

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) — A Manhattan man has been arrested in connection with a string of tire slashings that plagued the Riley Co. community over the past couple days.

In the last two days, more than 20 people people reported having the tires of their vehicles cut, the Riley Co. Police Dept. said.

On Monday, RCPD officers reportedly arrested William Taylor around 7:15 p.m. in 200 block of S. 4th Street, in Manhattan.

The 22-year-old was arrested on charges of aggravated burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property, RCPD said.

His bond was set at $15,000 and he remains in jail at this time, they added.
