Man dies in southeast Wichita crash

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) -- A 28-year-old man died Saturday morning in a two vehicle crash in southeast Wichita.

An officer saw the man run a red light in a Chevy Cobalt around 1:30 a.m. near Douglas and Hillside.

Police say the vehicle then veered into the westbound lanes, striking a 27-year-old woman driving a Nissan Altima.

The woman sustained minor injuries but the driver of the Colbalt was ejected from the vehicle.

Wichita Police Officer Paul Cruz says the man was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police have not released the name of the victim. The investigation is still on-going.
