Lawrence Police searching for masked gunman in overnight robbery

LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) The Lawrence Police Department is looking for the man who held up a convenience store and two of its customers early Thursday morning.

Officers responded to the Circle K located at 1802 W. 23rd Street around 2:54 a.m. on reports of an armed robbery.

A male victim said a masked man entered the store with a firearm and demanded money. Officials say the suspect was wearing dark clothing during the robbery.

LPD says the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and left the store. However, he came back inside after two females entered the business and robbed them as well.

Officials say the suspect eventually fled the scene on foot towards the south.
