KBI asked to join Atchison death investigation

ATCHISON, Kan. (WIBW) — The Kansas Bureau of Investigation has been asked to join the investigation into the death of a man in Atchison.

The Atchison Police Dept., who asked the KBI to participate, said the man was found dead around 7 p.m. Monday in a home in the 1100 block of Parallell Street. They identified him as Michael Moeck, 49, of Atchison.

Approx. 45 minutes after finding Moeck's body, police asked for the KBI's help. They did not say why nor did they release any information about his death.

Their investigation into his death is ongoing. Anyone with information about it is asked to call 1-800-KS-CRIME.
