Junction City man injured in Riley County motorcycle accident

RILEY COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Junction City man was injured while riding a motorcycle in Riley County Wednesday morning.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash report, Jeremy Scott, 31, was traveling eastbound on K18 northeast of Manhattan with a group of motorcyclists just after 9 a.m.

When the caravan stopped abruptly, Scott braked and lost control of his motorcycle. He tried to lay the motorcycle down to avoid any other vehicle and was ejected from the bike.

KHP says Scott was transported to Via Christi Hospital.

He was not wearing a helmet.
