TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) — A new plan to revitalize a downtown Topeka building is expected to bring dozens of new jobs to the area and pour millions into the local economy.

The Joint Economic Development Organization of Topeka & Shawnee Co. unanimously signed off Wednesday night on a $225,000 incentive package for Premier Advisory Group.

PAG is the parent company of ActionCOACH Business Coaching, Bajillion Agency and MotoVike Films.

The company plans to spend $1.6 million buying and revitalizing a downtown building, according to GO Topeka, which recommended the project. They are also expected to spend another $800,000 equipping the structure.

Company president Andrea Engstrom told 13 NEWS the business is located at 100 S. Kansas Ave. She said all three businesses will move to the new location.

Engstrom says the new location will allow the company to expand from their current 17 full-time and four part-time employees. According to the plan presented to JEDO, they expect to add 45 employees over the next five years, with an average annual salary of $52,000 for the jobs.

"We're committed to building a work culture that young professionals want to be part of. Topeka is home, and we think it's a great place to recruit talent. We're only as good as our people are, and our team is made up of talented individuals who love showing up to work every day. We are excited for what the future holds,” Engstrom said.

GO Topeka says the project could bring up to $16 million a year to the Topeka and Shawnee Co. area. The $225,000 incentive is performance based and will be paid as indicators are completed.

“Adding these creative and business-improvement focused jobs to our community is substantial, as is the addition of three new companies to our Downtown Topeka business community," Topeka Mayor Larry Wolgast said. "This is exciting for Topeka. Creating additional jobs is what these incentives are intended for.”
