Hutchinson man subject in Arizona federal officer-involved shooting

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) -- The FBI is investigating a federal officer-involved shooting off a highway north of Sedona.

The FBI says 51-year-old Tyler Miller was injured and later died at a hospital. The officer's name was not released, he suffered no injuries.

According to the office of the Kansas Secretary of State, Miller is the owner of TNT Bonding in Hutchinson. The family's attorney, Matt Brentz, says Miller is a well-respected entrepreneur from Hutchinson.

Brentz says that the news is very shocking and the community is mourning. He also says the family is waiting to hear more information regarding what happened.

A Forest Service law enforcement officer who was involved in the shooting was not injured.

No others subjects are being sought in this case.

This investigation is being worked in cooperation with the Coconino County Sheriff's Office, DPS, and Sedona Police Department.
