Holton wife killer sentenced for murder

HOLTON, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Holton man has been sentenced to nearly ten years in prison for murdering his wife.

According to the Jackson Co. Attorney's Office, George Fleshman, Jr., received the standard sentence of 117 months in prison and, following his release, he will spend the 36 months on probation.

Last month, Fleshman was found guilty of 2nd Degree Murder, stemming from the death of his wife, Elizabeth.

She died in October 2015, the day after her husband called 911 and said he found her unresponsive. Mrs. Fleshman was rushed to a Topeka hospital where she later died.
