(CBS) Apple iPhone users may have recently noticed their smartphone has a mind of its own -- auto correcting the letter "I" while typing.
Chances are if you updated your iPhone or iPad to Apple's latest operation system, whenever you type the letter "I" it auto corrects to the letter "A" with a question mark symbol.
Apple is blaming the most recent IOS update for the glitch.
While the company says they are working on a solution, here's what you can do in the meantime.
The company recommends using text replacement as a short-term solution.
Go to 'settings' and then "general.' Next, tap on 'keyboard' and 'text replacement.' Next, click on the plus sign in the top right corner. Beside phrase, type upper case "I," and bside shortcut, type lower case 'i."
Then tap save.
