Good Kid Savannah makes homemade thank you cards for police, deputies

OVERBROOK, KS (WIBW) -- Savannah Solis of Tyler Texas, is a remarkable young lady who spends her time creating handmade cards to send to law enforcement agencies, not only here in the states but all over the world.

Overbrook Police Chief Terry Hollingsworth nominated Savannah as a Good Kid, for visiting him, Shawnee County Sheriff Herman Jones, Undersheriff Phil Blume, and lots more lawmen and women in Overbrook on June 10th.

Savannah also received something in return: a Proclamation from Chief Hollingsworth and Mayor Schultz of Overbrook.

Savannah and her family have travelled to Europe as well, bringing with them encouragement to Law Enforcement Officers. While other kids are out playing, Savannah, a 12-year old soon to be 7th grader, makes these cards at her own expense.

You can follow her on Facebook at "Help Savannah Say Thank You".

We join in thanking Savannah for her journey to Northeast Kansas.
