Good Kid Cole Wells uses his love of woodworking, for his Eagle Scout project

TOPEKA (WIBW) -- Cole Wells has just completed his Eagle Project for Helping Hands Humane Society. He built five cedar benches for their outdoor play yards. Cole, a Washburn Rural High sophomore, went on to raise enough funds to purchase enrichment toys and make a monetary donation of $162 in addition to the benches.

His proud mom, Connie, says Cole is a member of Troop 175 based out of First Lutheran Church. He chose this project because he enjoys woodworking, has done volunteer work at the shelter, and we adopted the family dog at the shelter.

He is also a Varsity Wrestler at WRHS and plays for the baseball team as a catcher. Congrats and thanks to this week's Good Kid, Cole Wells!
