TOPEKA (WIBW)- Traffic along Interstate 70 in Topeka is being halted by construction Saturday, making for headaches for fans heading to the K-State v. TCU game.

KDOT says they're doing concrete repair work in the right lane of west bound I-70, between mile markers 353.1 and 351.

They say a lane drop is coned off, reducing traffic to one lane.

The road work has irked game-day commuters headed to Manhattan for the K-State v. TCU football game.

K-State also announced the start time of the game has been delayed to 11:45 a.m. Saturday due to lightning.

Small pop-up thunderstorms have developed in the Manhattan area, with heavy rain possible.

In regards to the road work, KDOT says the work is expected to take approximately 5 days to complete, depending on the weather.
