TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A California man has been sentenced for trying to transport over a hundred pounds of cocaine through Kansas late last year.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Marco Antonio Aispuro pleaded guilty to a single count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
The 48-year-old has been sentenced to three years in a federal prison.
Prosecutors said the Kansas Highway Patrol stopped Aispuro last October along eastbound I-70 in Waubaunsee Co. When they searched his vehicle they found 117 lbs of cocaine hidden in a rear quarter panel and the spare tire.
