Downtown Topeka feels the reggae rhythm

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Downtown Topeka was feeling irie Saturday night.

The 2018 Sunshine Reggae Roots Festival featured a lineup full of big names including Josh Heinrichs and SkillinJah.

Organizers said they had already beat last year’s attendance numbers with this year’s presale tickets and are looking forward to growing more and more.

They said that reggae music is peaceful and anyone can enjoy and connect with it.

"It’s the music of love and struggle,” Sunshine Blue, event coordinator, said “There’s so many things that it encompasses and if somebody connects to it anybody can connect to it."

The festival was sponsored by The Celtic Fox and Top Ranx Productions/SoundSystem
