Authorities investigating after man's body found in truck at KCI 8 months later

KANSAS CITY (WIBW)- Authorities with the Kansas City International Airport and law enforcement are investigating after a 53-year old man's body sat unnoticed inside his truck for eight months.

According to family members, Randy Potter was reported missing in January.

Kansas City Police found his body last Tuesday, after someone reported a bad smell coming from his truck.

Police say he appeared to have died from suicide.

Family members say Potter was found sitting in the driver's seat, slightly reclined. The windows to the truck were tinted, but light enough for anyone to see inside.

A parking pass from Potter's entry into economy lot B sat on the dashboard, dated January 17th -- the day he disappeared.
