Alex Gordon heads to the DL

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WIBW) -- The Kansas City Royals placed outfielder Alex Gordon on the 10-day disabled list on Tuesday.

According to the Royals, Gordon's injury is a left hip labral tear.

Gordon is hitting .174 this year.

The Royals activated Abraham Almonte from Omaha (AAA).
