TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Two people have been taken to the hospital after a crash this morning on Highway 24.

The two car crash happened just before 9:00 a.m. Thursday near Landon Road.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says both drivers were headed west on the highway when a black truck slowed to turn into a private drive.

A white SUV then hit the truck from behind sending both vehicles into opposite ditches.

Lt. Bryce Whelpley says the cause was possibly distracted driving.

Both drivers will be okay, but were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
