TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Three people, including one teenager, were taken into custody after a chase through the Flint Hills.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a trooper tried to pull over a car on I-70 near Maple Hill for traffic violations just after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

KHP says the car didn’t stop and troopers pursued. After 30 minutes, the car crashed into a fence at a dead end on Cattleman Road near Windy Hill Road in Wabaunsee County.

The three hid from troopers after running from the crash. The Kansas Highway Patrol airplane circled the area and spotted the three.

They were taken into custody without further incident.

Troopers are still investigating potential charges.
