MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) — A Clay Center woman was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon following a crash that shut down a major Manhattan road.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Karen Dyson was crossing the westbound lanes of Hwy 24, just east of the Tuttle Creek Blvd. intersection, around 2:15 p.m. when her 2005 Lincoln Town Car collided with a tractor-trailer.

The crash shut down the highway for about 45 minutes.

Authorities did not say how badly Dyson, 78, was injured.

The driver of the semi, Todd Dunstan, 28, of Beloit was not injured in the crash, KHP said.
