3 arrested following big law enforcement presence at central Topeka home

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Three people were taken into custody Tuesday morning as multiple law enforcement agencies descended on a central Topeka home.

Members of the DEA, Topeka police, and the Shawnee Co. Sheriff's Office were all seen around the home near the SE 17th and Quincy Street intersection. Some of the officers were seen wearing tactical gear and TPD brought in their armored vehicle.

At one point, up to six people were seen in handcuffs. However, Topeka Police say only three of them were taken into custody.

According to TPD, one woman was taken into custody for meth possession and paraphernalia; two men were also arrested, one for possessing a stolen firearm, and the other for warrants.
