2 seniors arrested during raids that turned up pounds of pot

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) — Two senior citizens, and another man, were arrested Monday evening after investigators found several pounds of marijuana during a search of three Pottawatomie Co. homes, Sheriff Greg Riat announced Thursday.

According to the Pottawatomie Co. Sheriff's Office, they were joined by members of the Kansas Dept. of Wildlife and Parks to execute the search warrants at three rural Manhattan homes. In total, they found around nine pounds of marijuana, as well as cash and firearms.

They arrested a suspect at each of the homes. They were listed as:

Sandra Snyder, 70, of 6240 Sparrow Lane. Police say she was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released on $1,000 bond.

Robert E. Snyder, 67, of 5733 Elbo View Drive. Police say he was arrested for Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Sell, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Criminal Use of Firearms, and No Drug Tax Stamp for Marijuana or Controlled Substance. He was released on $50,000 bond.

Brian D. Greer, 42, of 6238 Canary Lane. Police say he was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Criminal Use of Firearms, and No Drug Tax Stamp for Marijuana or Controlled Substance. He is still being held on $50,000 bond.

Riat said the arrests came as part of an ongoing investigation, in conjunction with the Riley Co. Police Dept., into illegal drug use and sales in the county.
