TOPEKA, Kan. (THE DRIVE) Kansas State started with an early lead going into halftime 21-10. Alex Barnes had an impressive 75 yard run on the first drive to immediately go up by a touchdown. The Wildcats also had an impressive interception, Mayfield's 2nd of the season, and a turnover on downs after stuffing out Oklahoma at the goal line.
Even with impressive plays on both sides of the ball and sophomore Alex Delton stepping up, they could just not stop Baker Mayfield and lost 42-35.
Mayfield threw for 410 yards and had 4 touchdowns and teammate Anderson had 147 rushing yards and a couple of touchdowns.
Alex Delton ended with 144 yards in the air and 161 rushing yards with 3 TD's.
Kansas State will face Kansas on Saturday.
KU tied a NCAA with their 44th road game loss in a row. Peyton Bender was 7 of 16 for 38 yards and was sacked four times for 24 yards in losses.
For TCU, Hill had a career high 5 touchdowns and Turpin had a 90 yard punt return. Top ranked TCU dominated KU shutting them out 43-0.
Kansas was able to pick up a win and for a good cause on the basketball court against Mizzou. KU won 93-87 and earned 1.8 million dollars for hurricane relief victims. We were able to get our first look at this years basketball team, and it only showed promise for the future season.
