I’m Ann Olamiju an Army wife, veteran, Army Reservist, and now Multi-Media Journalist. I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated from the University of Cincinnati. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism. I’m proud to be a Bearcat!
I interned with WIBW the summer of 2017 and learned a lot about the industry and the day-to-day operations of the newsroom. I’m passionate about telling stories that will impact people’s lives and the communities they live in. I uphold the highest ethical standards of Journalism and will seek the truth and report it with integrity.
I joined the Army National Guard while in high school in 2003 and have proudly served my country for 14 years - I plan to retire at my 20 year mark. I deployed overseas to Kuwait in Operation Enduring Freedom and took part in Hurricane Relief Operations in Louisiana and Vermont. I’m currently in the Army Reserves and my husband is an Active Duty soldier, we’re stationed here at Fort Riley.
In my spare time I enjoy working out, being active in my church, and teaching my bird Rooster to talk -he’s stubborn. If you have any story ideas please don’t hesitate to contact me I would love to hear from you! firstname.lastname@example.org.
