Peyton's passion for the weather and television began when he was just 4 years old after meeting a local TV meteorologist in his hometown of Wichita. From then on, he knew exactly what he wanted to be someday.

Peyton’s broadcast weather career started when he was just 18 years old at Channel 6 News in Lawrence. Living in Kansas for all his life, Peyton is no stranger to the crazy weather. He brings in several years of experience of forecasting and delivering Kansas weather information. Throughout high school, he ran a non-profit, social media weather page with over 14,000 followers from all over Kansas.

Peyton’s days in front of the green screen began when he was just 13 years old. He began to go in to the local TV stations in Wichita to get practice and learn more about the weather. He also had his own in-home weather center, equipped with a green screen, where he could continue to practice delivering the weather.

When he was 15 years old, Peyton was featured with his work for his social media page on The Weather Channel.

Peyton currently attends the University of Kansas where he is pursuing a degree in Atmospheric Science.

In his spare time, Peyton is usually studying for school, following the weather, and refereeing soccer. In 2014, he was awarded as the Kansas Referee of Year. He regularly travels to Kansas City and throughout the Midwest, officiating top youth-level soccer competitions. He also officiates adult soccer.

Peyton joined the WIBW 13 Weather team in July 2017. He is grateful to live out his dream, excited about the opportunity to learn and grow as a meteorologist, and proud to deliver the weather in his great home state of Kansas.
