Leavenworth, KS – The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) invites you to cover a public event showcasing entry-level, career opportunities for the Central Plains Consolidated Patient Account Center (CPCPAC) in Leavenworth, Kan.
The CPCPAC is expected to hire approximately 400 employees to work at this state-of-the art facility located on the grounds of the Leavenworth VA Medical Center. Salaries will range from $31,000 to $45,000, plus benefits. CPAC jobs will include accounting, accounting technicians, medical billing technicians, education and training specialists, medical records specialists among many others.
Job interviews and receipt of applications/resumes will not occur at the open house. The open house is strictly an information session to teach people how to apply for the jobs. All applicants must apply online at www.usajobs.gov.
Each session is approximately 45 minutes. There will be six sessions (the same information is presented at each session). The sessions have been broken down by alphabet by last name as the schedule indicates below:

The Central Plains CPAC is part of a Department of Veterans Affairs initiative to improve billing and collection activities throughout our network of 153 medical centers and more than 1,400 clinics across the United States. As part of this effort, CPAC is involved in all aspects of the revenue cycle including insurance verification, billing, utilization review nurses and accounts receivable. The CPAC model utilizes industry best practices and metrics to measure performance. This coupled with intensive training and staff development ensures that standardized business processes are maximized.
