TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)--One Topeka resident is a million dollars richer thanks to some lucky numbers and the Kansas Lottery.
The winner, who wished to remain anonymous claimed their one million dollar prize yesterday and became Kansas' first Powerball 'Match 5' million dollar prize winner under the game's new structure. Before January 15th, this person would have won "just" $200,000.
The winner of the April 4th drawing matched all numbers but the Power Ball. If they would have, they would be 70 million dollars richer! The winning ticket was purchased at the dillon's store at 21st and Fairlawn.
