Topeka Symphony In Tune For First Concert Of 2014

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Topeka Symphony has titled its first concert of 2014 "Capricious Genius."

The performance will include works from Bach, Saint-Saens, Shostakovich and more. Conductor Kyle Wiley Pickett describes the selections as lighter fare for the dark winter months. Also on hand will be pianist Jon Nakamatsu, a Van Cliburn Competition Winner who has been a guest of the symphony twice in the past.

The performance is 7:30 pm Saturday, January 18th, at White Concert Hall on the Washburn University campus.
