EMPORIA, Kan. (AP) _ The state's top teachers will speak next
month at Emporia State University.
On Feb. 3, the 2011 Kansas Teacher of the Year and Regional
Teachers of the Year will discuss with university students why they
teach, and how to build relationships, manage classrooms and engage
students.
The teachers will be available later in the day to answer
questions from reporters on a range of subjects, including how
actions by the state Legislature affect the classroom.
Emporia State is home to the National Teachers Hall of Fame. The
event will include a tour of the hall.
