The Shawnee County Health Agency (SCHA) will be offering seasonal flu shots to the community on Thursday, September 29th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library (1515 SW 10th). The shots are $30.00 each, and some insurance plans are accepted.
It is recommended everyone six months and older receive a seasonal flu shot. Individuals receiving shots should remember to bring their insurance cards. SCHA will accept the following insurance:
Blue Cross and Blue Shield (excluding Value Blue)
Century
Medicare
Medicaid
Healthwave (Family Health Partners and Unicare)
Cash and checks will be accepted forms of payment.
SCHA’s immunization department will be closed on September 29th, in the morning, so staff can assist at the flu clinic. They will reopen at 1 p.m.
SCHA encourages residents to take the following steps to help minimize the spread of germs:

Cover your cough
Stay home if you are sick
