TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- The WIBW Santa contest has made a Rossville woman a thousand dollars richer.
Shawna Slack was the grand prize winner in WIBW's "Are you the WIBW Santa?" contest. Because she found a secret WIBW Santa in the community, she was given $20-dollars, and entered into the thousand dollar drawing.
Slack's name was drawn live during 13 News at 6 on Tuesday.
Slack is the wife of a minister in Rossville, and told WIBW she's going to give some of it to her church, buy a few extra gifts for her 2 year-old son, pay some bills and if there's any left, buy herself a cup of coffee.
Slack said she found out she won the contest Monday night by text message from a friend who watched the live drawing on TV.
The WIBW Santa contest happens yearly, through a partnership with WIBW-TV and WIBW Radio.
