Ribbon Cut On New Junction City Chamber of Commerce Office

JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Junction City Chamber of Commerce marked a milestone Wednesday, showing off its newly combined office.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the new chamber location on West 6th Street.

Four local entities have been combined in the new quarters, including Military Affairs, Economic Development, Chamber Activities and the Conventions and Visitors Bureau.

“About a year ago, the decision was made to put all of those together in one office to create some synergy and efficiency of operations so this is the result of that. This is a high profile group that working to make a difference in Junction City and working together on that,” said Tom Weigand, Junction City Chamber President and CEO.

The chamber is now located in the Montgomery Publications Building, along with the Daily Union newspaper.
