Popular Manhattan Arts & Crafts Fair This Weekend

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- If you're looking for unique Christmas gifts that you won't find in stores this holiday season, you'll want to take a trip to Manhattan this weekend.

On Saturday November 12th, the Parent Teacher Organization for Manhattan Catholic Schools is sponsoring the "Button 'n Bows" Arts and Crafts Fair.

This is the 31st year for the event, which draws vendors and crowds from different parts of the country.

"You’ll find sewing, knitting, paintings, jewelry, wood crafts, ceramics, pine wreaths and candles. We have things for the dogs. We also have lighted seasonal items that you can find here at the craft fair as well as gifts that can be personalized. You can just find a wide variety of hand-crafted items here for a reasonable price and you know you’re getting good quality," said organizer Rebecca Frakes.

"Buttons 'n Bows" will be held at Manhattan Catholic Schools on South Juliette Avenue from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. It will be set up in the grade school, junior high and church basement. Admission is $2. No strollers are allowed. The fair will also feature a baked goods sale.

In recent years, close to 3,000 people have attended the event. Local artists will be featured as well as others that are coming in from Nebraska, Missouri and Oklahoma.
