TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Kids from Topeka's Boys and Girls Club have a new place to play ball.
The Topeka Active 20/30 Club and former Major League Baseball player Ken Berry unveiled a new baseball field for the group Friday.
Berry saw how run-down the organization's field had become and began pursuing support from community members to help renovate it.
Berry played center field for the Chicago White Sox, Milwaukee Brewers and California Angels before finishing his career with the Cleveland Indians. He's now active in youth coaching in the Topeka area.
