MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Runners in Manhattan came out Saturday to help support a local charity.
A 5K and 10K race was held Saturday morning, starting on Kansas State University’s campus and continuing along Manhattan streets.
Nearly 120 runners participated in the “Food for Life Run”- the first ever race to benefit the Flint Hills Breadbasket.
The charity is community food network that’s been operating for more than thirty years in the Manhattan area, collecting and distributing food to the needy.
Central National Bank sponsored the event with the help of Manhattan Running Company and all of the proceeds went to the Flinthills Breadbasket.
