Legislature Reconvenes, Democrats Respond

A new Governor and a new legislative session. The house and senate reconvened Monday.

The top priority for both Democrats and Republicans is the state's budget.

Democrats say hopefully the new administration doesn't get sidetracked.

Senators say with any new administration there will be challenges but also opportunities.

The budget remains the top priority.... as lawmakers are facing a 550 million dollar deficit in the upcoming year.
