MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Kansas State University students came together Monday night to show their support for slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin. The investigation into his shooting death has gripped the nation.
Rallies have been held throughout the country.
Members of the Beta Sigma Chi Christian sorority hosted a peaceful march and rally on K-State's Manhattan campus called "Hoodie March Into the Night."
The march started at the West Hall dormitory. and ended in Bosco Student Plaza.
Those in attendance said the event was not to point any blame in the case but to celebrate Martin's life and to help promote unity in the community and across the nation
Beta Sigma Chi also collected donations for Trayvon Martin's family.
