JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Junction City couple welcomed their first child to the world on Wednesday and the baby boy was also the first infant to be born at Geary Community Hospital in 2013.
Ivory and Jasmine Wedlow celebrated the birth of their son, J’Shawn Deonte Wedlow, on January 2, 2013, at 4:28 a.m. J’Shawn
weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and was 21 1/2 inches long.
J’Shawn was born at Geary Community Hospital's Martha K. Hoover Women's Health Center and is the 2013 New Year's Baby.
The beaming family was captured in a picture the day after the birth before they left the hospital to head home.
Mercy Regional Health Center revealed that their New Year's baby, Maria Noel, was born Wednesday at 8:17 AM. The newborn weighed in at 4 lbs. 11 oz. Her parents did not want any other information released.
