TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -Job seekers are hoping to land an opportunity with one of the nearly dozen local employers they met today.
They had the opportunity to provide resumes to several companies, including Ramada Inns, Prairie Band Casino and Durham School Services.
Topekans enjoyed the convenience of having all the employers at one location while employers had a few key characteristics to look for.
Employment and Outreach Specialist Jacqueline Rogers says, " I know with our program the three things contractors look for are people who can be on time, be there everyday and work while they are at work..
Job seeker Valee Grace was excited to impress all eleven employers at just one location. She said, "It's hard to look for jobs when you are going from here to there and there to here and paying for gas, but its all right here so its convenient and there like eleven jobs here and they are each going to hire at least 15-20 people."
