Empty Home Catches Fire While Owner Is Out Of Town

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -Fire crews were busy early Sunday morning responding to a fire that did extensive damage to a home at 536 S.E. 37th in Topeka. The Home caught fire around 4:50 AM with no one home at the time the fire broke out and crews had it under control by 5:20 AM.

The owner's niece said that her uncle has been out of town. The investigation is ongoing.
