Winter Heating Fire Safety TIPS
With the holiday season here...its time to protect your family and help keep your holidays safe and bright with fire safety tips.
The past few days we've seen quite a few fires. With decorations going up, and temperatures coming down, this season comes bearing, fire danger!
Lights, trees, candles and holiday cooking are just a few of the dangers that can lead to a disastrous holiday.
In just a few days we've seen destroyed homes and businesses.
Here are a few simple steps to ensure safety...make sure to not put a live tree close to any heat sources, like a fireplace or vent.....and keep your tree stand filled at all times.
If you're using an artificial tree, make sure it's flame retardant.
Also, inspect your Christmas lights every year for frayed wires, gaps in the insulation, bare spots and broken sockets. And use candles with care .
