TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - It was a night of Mardi Gras partying in Downtown Topeka Tuesday.
Zydeco singer Rosie Ladet and her band were the featured guest at the Cumulus Broadcasting Downtown Topeka Mardi Gras Party.
Guests enjoyed cajun food, a fortune teller, and a silent auction.
The event is a fundraiser for Downtown Topeka Inc. and was held at the Ramada Hotel and Convention Center. WIBW was a proud sponsor of Tuesday's festivities.
Mardi Gras was also celebrated at Central Park Community Center Tuesday. The heavenly vision foundation held a fundraiser complete with gumbo, music and dancing.
Money raised goes towards programs the foundation offers teaching youth the finer points of photography.
