The 22nd Annual Inter-Tribal Pow Wow was underway this morning with a church service that preceded the main attractions of dancing and celebration.
Jeremy Bays served as minister for this mornings service which welcomed people of all tribes, nations and cultures.
He said it is important that everyone come together and respect one another to get back to what our ancestors taught us.
"We need to forgive, love and have compassion in order to work together and just for today but for our future generations. Those that came before us taught us harmony and love and we kind of have forgotten their teachings," said Bays.
Tonight's festivities carry on well into the evening. Gourd dancing continues until 7pm with the grand entry and more dancing until 10pm.
