With the drawdown in progress in iIraq.... more and more troops are returning home to the sunflower state.

More than 300 Army Infantry Soldiers were welcomed home Monday by family and friends after being deployed to Iraq for a year in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Excited cheers, homemade signs and loud music....a perfect set up for a rock concert but on Fort Riley it was more of a welcome ceremony with lots of emotion.

The 4th Infantry Brigade Combat team Dragon Brigade Soldiers spent a year in the Salad ah Din province in Iraq attempting to secure a peaceful, democratic and prosperous future in that country.
