The Lantern is Lighting Topeka
The "Lantern Light" sculpture from China was dedicated Tuesday morning at Washburn University...
The highly anticipated "Lantern Light" brought out city, state and national officials plus a delegation from China.
Amilestone for Topeka.... as the "Lantern Light" sculpture makes its mark on the Washburn University campus.
The work of art was created by one of china's eminent sculptors, Master Yee Yu Shan to celebrate 30 years of peace and friendship bewteen the U.S. and China.
Topeka pushed hard to house this piece of art as part of a cultural exchange program.
The sculpture is located on the campus of Washburn University on the NW corner of the Henderson building.
